SAC Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing receives Mr Prak Sokhonn, Special Envoy of the ASEAN Chair on Myanmar

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received Mr Prak Sokhonn, Special Envoy of the ASEAN Chair on Myanmar, Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, at the Credentials Hall of the Office of the State Administration Council Chairman in Nay Pyi Taw at 2 pm yesterday.

 

At the meeting, they cordially exchanged views on the implementation of the five-point ASEAN consensus and the progress, deaths of members of the Sangha, novices, innocent people, teachers, service personnel and security members due to terrorist attacks and killing of so-called PDF terrorists born of NUG and CRPH, their brutal acts, damage of public-owned and State-owned buildings in mine blasts and the outbreak of fires committed by those PDFs, efforts made for the elimination of terrorism, the reopening of schools for teaching students, the progress of holding peace talks with ethnic armed organizations for the restoration of perpetual peace, efforts for taking humanitarian aid for people of Myanmar, and the implementation of Myanmar’s policy: no one is of importance than human life like the ASEAN’s policy related to the humanitarian aid: no one will be left behind.

 

Also present at the meeting were Joint Secretary of the Council Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo, Union Ministers U Wunna Maung Lwin and U Ko Ko Hlaing and officials. The Special Envoy of the ASEAN Chair on Myanmar Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation was accompanied by ASEAN Deputy Secretary-General Mr Ekkaphab Phanthavong, Cambodian Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Chhouk Bunna and officials. — MNA
