STATE Administration Council Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received a delegation led by Mr Batu Khasikov, Head of the Republic of Kalmykia of the Russian Federation, at the Credentials Hall of the State Administration Council Chairman’s Office in Nay Pyi Taw yester­day morning.

 

During the meeting, they discussed matters pertaining to the improving friendship and cooperation between Myanmar and the Russian Federation, enhancing relations with the Republic of Kalmykia, planning the 2025 International Buddhist Forum in Kalmykia, and how Myanmar can contribute to its success, developing tourism through religious and economic cooperation, mutual educa­tional opportunities, and the agriculture and livestock sectors. Both sides also exchanged frank and friendly views on enhancing cooperation through recip­rocal visits.

 

State Administration Council Joint Secretary General Ye Win Oo, Union Min­isters U Tin Oo Lwin, and U Min Naung, deputy ministers, Russian Ambassador Mr Iskander Azizov and delegation mem­bers were also present on the occasion.

 

After the meeting, State Administra­tion Council Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and Rus­sian Kalmykia Republic Head Mr Batu Khasikov exchanged souvenirs and posed for a documentary photo. — MNA/TS
