With a view to ensuring sufficient drinking water, a tube-well and related tasks are being undertaken by the Department of Rural Development in Saishin Village, Minbu Township in Magway Region and the project has been 100 percent finished.
A four-inch tube-well plus a water tank capable of storing 2,400 gallons of water was built a private tender winning company with Ks. 12.7185 million of the DRD’s allotted fund in the fiscal year 2019-2020.
Approximately 730 local people from 130 households and cattle will be able to use adequate drinking water from the tube-well. In addition, similar projects are being implemented in three villages in the township, said an official from the DRD.—Thurein (Minbu)
