Rural roads being built in Mokkda village in Hpa-an Township

With the aim of delivering agricultural products to market place in a timely manner, a rural road is being conducted in Mokkda village in Hpa-an Township, Kayin State and officials from the Township Department of Rural Development inspected the completion of the work on March 24.

Officials from the Township Department and members of rural road development committee inspected the road which is one mile and 5.2 furlong in length, 12 ft in width and two ft and nine inches in volume.

The road was being built by tender winning company with K 107.225 million allocated by funds of Kayin State Government starting from first week of January and now it is nearing completion.

Upon completion, it will benefit a total of 1860 people from 350 households and agricultural products from over 400 acres of farmland will be delivered to the markets with saving time and money.
