Yesagyo, 1 March

A rural road is being built by the Department of Rural Development in Yesagyo Township in Magway Region to help rural people from six villages sell their agricultural products in the market in time.

The rural road measuring five mile long, 12 ft. wide, and 9 inch thick is being built by a tender winning private company with over Ks. 123 million allotted by the local government in the fiscal year 2019-2020 and the project is about 82 percent completed. In addition the gravel road also includes four culverts, said an official from the DRD.

Upon completion of the project, the rural road will benefit around 6,376 acres of farmland belonging to the rural people in the village and its nearby villages.—Ye Win Naing
