Rural electrification facility goes into operation in Pakkoku

A rural electrification facility was launched in Chaung Khwa Village, Pakkoku Township in Magway Region on 11 January.

The rural electrification structure was formally opened by Regional Minister for Natural Resource, Environment, Electricity and Energy U Myint Zaw, the Lower House MP U Paik Ko, the Upper House Lawmaker U Mya Min Swe, Regional Legislator for No.1 Constituency U Han Zaw Win and Township Administrator U Saw Htoo Aung by cutting a ceremonial ribbon.

Next, they sprinkled scented water on the plaque of the electrification facility. Afterwards, the regional minister delivered an address and the lawmakers spoke congratulatory speeches and presented the necessities in the area. An official from the Electricity Supply Enterprise also shared knowledge about the risks of electricity.

Chaung Khwa Village consists of 120 households with a population of over 800. Their dreams have come true as the village has been facilitated with electricity, a village official said.—Ko Zaw (Chemistry)
