Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has again denied that the country was involved in the attacks on oil facilities in Saudi Arabia.
Rouhani said at a cabinet meeting on Wednesday that the US claim is groundless and meaningless.
Washington has indicated that Iran was behind Saturday's drone strikes.
Rouhani said the US apparently wants to put maximum pressure on Iran with those accusations.
He also said Iran has not wanted, and will never want, conflict in the region.
