1. For those Myanmar citizens who wished to return to Myanmar during the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) period, arrangements have been made to receive them systematically by opening official reception centres at the international airport, port and border entry points to carry out disease prevention, control and treatment measures.
2. Also, although the National-Level Central Committee for Prevention, Control and Treatment of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) had made announcements and arrangements for Myanmar citizens returning from foreign countries to come in through official border entry points and undergo medical observation and examinations, there have been cases where some persons have entered through border crossings where there were no official reception centres. This could hamper efforts to prevent, control and treat Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) and also lead to the spread of the COVID-19 disease.
3. Therefore, if anyone enters Myanmar through any unauthorized entry point from a foreign country and if such person has been accepted with the knowledge that such person has entered the country illegally, it is hereby notified that legal action would be taken in accordance with prevailing laws.
