Public ethics, undeniable advice to tame souls of the people

NITI in Pali means the guide called the ethic to the people as the best way to live in the world. It is a treatise purporting to guide the people in the affairs of the world. In fact, the public ethic was compiled with extracts from Buddhist literature. Originally, the first-ever public ethic was compiled by Minister Çaturangabala of King Thihathu in Myanmar history.

In successive eras, various kinds of public ethics compiled by Myanmar scholars as well as venerable Buddhist monks gave advice to the people on how to control their minds, how to live in the world without committing the crime, how to seek ways and means for achieving prosperity, how to overcome challenges of life, how to associate with others, how to do anything without harming anyone and so on. Hence, the students were taught quotes from the ethics in successive eras as part of training them to understand and abide by the advice of ethics.

Nonetheless, these varieties of public ethics are still useful today. These ethics are always right because the scholars comprehensively conducted research and surveys on the ethics before compilation. It is sure that those who exercise even one of these public ethics will not face the loss of interests in their lives. All contents involved in the public ethics were compiled with extracts from Jataka stories of Buddhism and realities in the social affairs in which the characters in the plots actually solved the problems and overcame the challenges as examples for the people in their lives. Moreover, some provisions in public ethics were based on the significant points of histories and nature.

That is why everybody needs to rest assured exercising the expressions of public ethics and can apply its quotes in their work procedures and urge their staff to exercise these ethics for taming their souls so as to provide smooth services with politeness to the customers.

If so, not only persons but also any workplaces or businesses giving better services than others in line with the advice of the ethics are sure to win over the opponents.
