ASEMINAR entitled “Property Market Update Q3 2019” was held by Colliers International Myanmar in collaboration with Mottama Development Group Co Ltd, in Mottama Development Group Property Gallery at Maha Land Centre in Yangon on 28 November.
The event is attended by key industry players such as developers, investors and legal consultants to discuss the current and future trajectory of the country’s real estate industry.
In detail, the first part of the event covered a Q3 2019 review of the industry. Mr Paul Ryan Cuevas, Senior Research Analyst of Colliers, covered five sectors of Yangon’s real estate landscape during the presentation, specifically office, retail, serviced apartment, upper-scale hotel, and condominium. “Yangon market continues to show signs of robust growth in the short to medium term. Despite challenges in the market currently, there are more opportunities present if we look at the right sectors and the right segments,” said Mr Paul Ryan.
Afterwards, a panel discussion consisting of representatives from Mottama Development Group and Colliers was gathered to discuss the role of Property Management in the industry. The panelists include Mr Jeffrey Yeap, Commercial Director of Mottama Development Group and two representatives from Colliers namely Mr Ariel Vitor, Head of Property Management and Mr Joshua De Las Alas, Senior Advisory Manager.
The topics raised during the panel discussion include property management measures and practices that needs to be taken to further the reputation and success of developers and projects, major challenges in the market, and the role of property management in enhancing the value of properties.—GNLM
