THE Department of Rural De­velopment under the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Devel­opment, Pa-O Self-Administered Zone, Shan State (South), held a ceremony to transfer funds for the Village Development Project (VDP) and Rural Business Fund (RBF) Project, which will be implemented for the 2026-2027 financial year, at the meeting hall of the department on the morning of 31 May.

 

At the ceremony, State Hlut­taw Representative U Khun Win Naung delivered an opening remark. Township Staff Officer from the Department of Rural Development, Pinlaung Town­ship, explained the objectives of the VDP and RBF projects to be implemented, the work pro­grammes to be carried out, and the points that villages need to cooperate on for the successful implementation of the projects.

 

Afterwards, the attending parliamentarian and depart­mental officials transferred VDP project funds of K15 million per village, totalling K60 million, to the village committees of Nam­pa Village, Maungdein Village, Pauke Village and Wapyone Village.

 

Subsequently, the township staff officer reportedly trans­ferred RBF project funds of K30 million to four groups that will carry out pig breeding activities in Pauya Kyaungna Village. — Sein Lwin (Rural)
