Poppy plantations destroyed in Pinlaung, Pekon Tsp

28.5 acres of poppy plantations measuring two feet high, some 1.5 miles north of Pin-Mon ( North ) village in Pinlaung Township were destroyed by a joint contingent of police and departmental personnel led by Police Captain Min Aung, commander of Pinlaung Myoma Police Station yesterday.

 

Similarly, eight acres of poppy plants measuring two feet high, three furlongs northeast of Nahi village in Pekong Township were wiped out by a combined team comprised of police and departmental personnel led by Police Captain Thein Swe, commander of Pekong Myoma Police Station yesterday, according to information released by the Myanmar Police Force.
