THE Department of Ru­ral Development under the Ministry of Coopera­tives and Rural Develop­ment, Danu Self-Admin­istered Zone, Shan State (South), conducted a field inspection to review the implementation of house­hold income-generat­ing activities financed through the revolving funds of the Mya Sein Yaung Village Project in Watara Village yesterday.

 

Danu Self-Adminis­tered Zone Department of Rural Development Head Daw Aye Aye Thein, Pindaya Township De­partment of Rural De­velopment Head U Aung Kyaw, project staff, and members of the village project committee in­spected the implementa­tion of systematic small-scale farming, livestock breeding, and trading activities supported by the project funds.

 

They also checked whether the monthly records and accounts had been properly main­tained, and afterwards, the regional director co­ordinated and addressed the needs raised by the village.

In Watara Village, a total of K124.9 million in revolving funds has been disbursed to 130 project members engaged in agriculture, livestock breeding, and trading as the 13th cycle of low-inter­est revolving loans. The funded activities are be­ing successfully operat­ed with support from the project funds to ensure increased household incomes. — Cho Than Nyunt (Rural)
