A ceremony to honour and welcome back Tatmadaw members who had returned from the frontline after carrying out duties for regional security and stability in and around Mogok and Thabeikkyin, Mandalay Region, was held yesterday evening at a local battalion in Monghsat, eastern Shan State. The event was attended by Triangle Region Command Commander Maj-Gen Soe Myat Htut, along with officials, members of Myanmar Police Force and the Myanmar War Veterans Organization, departmental personnel and local ethnic residents.

The returning soldiers had diligently carried out military operations on the front lines, day and night, in order to ensure that ethnic communities across various regions and states could live and work in peace, with the security of their lives and property safeguarded, as well as to maintain national stability and regional peace.

The commander and party welcomed back the victorious Tatmadaw members with sprigs of Eugenia. The event included traditional dance and music performances. The commander also presented cash prizes and commodities to the returnees.
