The team secured the majority of the medals and finished sixth overall among the participating countries. The team won five more gold medals than at the XII ASEAN Para Games in Cambodia in 2023, making this one of Myanmar’s most successful Para Games.

Upon arrival, the athletes were warmly welcomed and honoured by Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, Deputy Minister U Zin Min Htet of the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, regional ministers, officials, students from the Institute of Sports and Physical Education (Yangon), family members and sports enthusiasts. They were greeted with ceremonial gifts, wreaths and flowers.
