Kengtung, 8 December
A painting contest to mark the International Migrants Day 2019 was held at No.3 Basic Education High School in Kengtung, Eastern Shan State this morning.
The event was jointly organized by the Department of Labour under the Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population and a local Civil Society Organization representing the International Labour Organization (ILO). A total of 30 primary students throughout the township took part in the competition.
The prize winners will be awarded at a ceremony to mark the International Migrants Day which falls on 18 December.—Ye Htet Oo (IPRD)
