Farmers in Monywa district, Sagaing region have bought 209 tractors of different kinds in 2018-2019 fiscal year, according to U Than Myint, head of Monywa District Agricultural Mechanization Department.
The use of agricultural machines in farming in the district is on the rise due to scarcity of labor force.
This fiscal year, farmers have bought 34 tractors of different sizes and 175 hand tractors of different sizes.—Win Oo
