Summer paddy is being cultivated at the Myoma, Thilin, Ywa Khaing Gyi, Kume, Mongmaw, Daye Kaung and Rikan frontline agricultural camps in Myittha Township, Mandalay Region, according to a farmer in Shwekya In Village in the Township.

To boost both yield and grain quality, the Department of Agriculture is encouraging summer paddy growers to cultivate high-quality varieties suited to local conditions and to use the recommended fertilizers and other agricultural inputs.
