Myittha, July 10

Myittha Township in Kyaukse District, Mandalay Region, has completed the planting of 20,100 acres of summer paddy, meeting its cultivation target for this year's growing season, according to the Myittha Township Department of Agriculture.

The township had set a cultivation target of 20,100 acres of summer paddy, and the entire planned area has now been successfully planted.

"We have achieved our target by planting 20,100 acres of summer paddy this season. The Department of Agriculture, in collaboration with relevant departments, is providing technical guidance to farmers on proper cultivation practices to improve yields and protect crops from pests and diseases," said U Soe Min Naing, Staff Officer of the Township Department of Agriculture.

Local farmers said that higher rice production would help meet local consumption needs while generating additional income through the sale of surplus harvests, thereby improving their socio-economic well-being.— War War Myint (Myittha)
