The final match of an invitational men’s football tourney took place in conjunction with a prize awarding event at the township sport ground in Myaungmya, Ayeyawady Region on 2 March.
In the final game, the team representing Myoma-1 defeated the squad representing Kawet Village 1-0 and was crowned the champion of the contest. Township Administrator U Kyaw Swe, Medical Superintendent Dr. Hnit Hsan Oo, Regional Lawmaker for Constituency-2 Daw Khaing Zin Oo, Chairperson of the township development committee U Zarni Tint and Head of the township police force Police Lt-Col Maung Maung Soe presented individual prizes, cash and champion trophy to winning teams and players.
The event was held with eight participating teams in the township and Amyotha Hluttaw Representative Mahn Tun Kyaing, Regional Lawmaker U Thant Zaw Win, departmental staff and football fans also were present at the final match.—Aung Min (Myaungmya)
