Myanmar women’s futsal squad left Yangon for Thailand yesterday to play a tune-up match as part of preparations before the 2024 ASEAN Women’s Futsal Championship.
Goalkeepers of the Myanmar national women’s futsal team are Chaw Sandi Aung, Tharaphi Aung and Yin Yin Moe Naing.
Other players of the team are Hset Nweni, Hsu Wah Lwin, Yoon Mie Mie Lwin, Phu Pwint Khaing, May Zin Oo, Yamin Thant Zin, Wutyi Lwin, Than Than Wai, Khin Pyae Lin, Hnin Sanda Hlaing, Yamin Lwin, Lwin Lwin Thet and Nang Seng Baran and they are under Head Coach U Htay Myint. The coaching team is formed with assistant coaches U Zaw Ye Maung and Daw Wah Wah Kyaing and goal coach U Tun Tun Latt.
The squad is led by U Naing Thaung Htaik and manager Daw Phyu Phyu Thant. The Myanmar team will play a tune-up match with a Thai women’s club on 12 November and leave for the Philippines on 14 November.
The AFF Women’s Futsal Championship 2024 will take place in the Philippines on 16-21 November. Five teams, consisting of Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines and Indonesia, will play the round-robin matches. — Ko Nyi Lay/TTA
