Myanmar Vovinam team wins one gold, one bronze while boxing bags one silver in 31st SEA Games

THE 31st Southeast Asian Games, hosted by Viet Nam, is being held at stadiums in various cities with Myanmar’s victory.

 

Maung Aung Khaing Lin, Maung Yazar Tun, Maung Hein Htet Aung and Maung Kyaw Thu Soe Aung deserved to win the 9th Gold Medal for Myanmar in the Vovinam Male Leg Attack Technique event.

 

Ma Shwe Thet Htar won the bronze medal in the women’s 60-kilo event of the Vovinam and Maung Naing Latt grabbed a silver medal in the men’s 57-kilo boxing event at Bac Ninh Gymnasium.

 

The Deputy Minister and party enjoyed and supported the Myanmar athletes participating in shooting competition at Hanoi National Sport Training Centre in Hanoi, weightlifting competition at Hanoi Sport Training Centre, Boxing event at Bac Ninh Gymnasium, and Vovinam competition at the Soc Son Gymnasium yesterday.

 

He encouraged the Myanmar athletes and awarded prizes to the winners.

 

Yesterday competitions include Shooting, Weightlifting, Judo, Vovinam, and Boxing.

 

Currently, Myanmar is ranking in seventh of the 31st SEA Games by earning 62 medals: nine gold, 18 silver and 35 bronze medals.—MNA
