Myanmar traditional boat rowing competition held in Chaungson Tsp

Chaungsone, 25 October

A ceremony to open the 2^nd Myanmar traditional boat rowing competition was held in Maha Kandawgyi Lake in the town of Chaungsone, Mon state this morning.

At the opening ceremony, Mon State Development Affairs and Construction Minister made a speech, encouraging the teams to compete with sporting spirits. Then, Mon State Development Affairs and Construction Minister, Mon State Chief Justice and Mon state Hluttaw MP U Lin Tin Htay formally opened the competition by cutting a ribbon.

A total of 20 teams from wards and villages in the township participated in the first-day competitions. The five-day competition will run till October 29.
