Myanmar and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are committed to enhancing investment and trade through strengthened bilateral cooperation.

 

 

 

Acting President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission Senior General Min Aung Hlaing accepted the Letters of Credence from Mr Maziad Moham­med M Al Howishan, newly accredited Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, at the Credentials Hall of the Office of the National Defence and Security Council, Nay Pyi Taw, yesterday morning.

 

At the meeting, they cordially dis­cussed the prolonged and strength­ening diplomatic relations between Myanmar and Saudi Arabia, promotion of friendship and cooperation, and sit­uations to enhance relations between the two countries.

 

They also exchanged views on the situations to increase investment and enhance trade between the two coun­tries, and further boost cooperation between the two countries.

 

Moreover, they highlighted the suc­cessful holding of a free and fair elec­tion in Myanmar and the convening of the Hluttaw sessions in the near future.

 

After the meeting, the Senior Gen­eral and the newly accredited ambas­sador of Saudi Arabia to Myanmar had documentary photos taken.

 

Also, present at the meeting were Commission Secretary General Ye Win Oo, Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe, and Director-General of the Protocol Department U Thet Tun. — MNA/TTA
