Myanmar National League: Yangon United defeats ISPE 2-0

Yangon United defeated Institute of Sports and Physical Education (ISPE) FC by a score of 2-0 in week-5 of the MPT Myanmar National League 2020 at the Yangon United Sports Complex yesterday.


Yangon’s youth player Aee Soe saw his first appearance with the team this season.


Aee Soe had opportunities to score, but most of his attempts went over the goal post.


Yangon United found their opening goal when Aboubarcar scored at 40 minutes with a freekick, with support from Nyein Chan Aung.


After 1-0, Yangon United made continuous shots on goal, but the MNL debut team ISPE were strong in defense.


In the second half, Zin Min Tun substituted for Aee Soe.


At 56 minutes, Mg Mg Lwin scored the second goal, with the assist of Zin Min Tun, to bring the score to 2-0.


Yangon United held the score until the final whistle and celebrated the 2-0 victory over ISPE FC.
Yangon United is now standing in second place, earning 13 points from 5 plays, 4 wins and 1 draw. They are trying to reach the first position, now occupied by Hantharwady United, according to team officials.—Lynn Thit (Tgi)
