An event to donate relief supplies to the chairman of region-level COVID-19 control and prevention committee was held at the meeting room of the local government office in Magway on 5 May.
At the ceremony, Chief Minister of Magway Region Dr. Aung Moe Nyo explained measures being taken by the local government and Chief Executiv Officer of Myanmar Kaido Co., Ltd U Aung Kyaw Oo clarified the purpose of donation.
Next, well-wishers and owners of Myanmar Kaido Co., Ltd U Aye Ko and Daw Nu Nu Khin donated 3,000 rice bags, cooking oil, six Oxygen concentrators, 3,000 masks, 7,000 gloves, 300 facemasks, and 10 thermometers worth Ks. 97.2 million to the chief minister who returned the certificate of honour. The chief minister also expressed words of thanks to the well-wishers.
The relief items will be distributed to the local government, the Department of Health, COVID-10 control and prevention committee, local military battalions, nunneries, monasteries and two villages.—Than Naing Oo (Ngaphe)
