THE Myanmar men’s national futsal team began training on 14 March to pre­pare for the 2026 ASEAN Futsal Cham­pionship to be held in Thailand in April.

The squad includes 26 players se­lected based on performances in the domestic league. Head coach Pattaraya Pikhun has prioritised young and new players.

The team will travel to Thailand on 29 March for further training and friendly matches ahead of the tournament.

The 2026 ASEAN Futsal Champion­ship will take place from 6 to 12 April in Thailand. Myanmar are in Group A with Thailand, Vietnam and Timor-Leste. — Ko Nyi Lay/KZL
