THE seventh Congress of the Myanmar Football Federation (MFF Congress 2024) took place on 3 December at the Novotel Yangon Max. Representatives from FIFA and Asian Football Confederation, the MFF president, vice-presidents, executive committee members, representatives from state and regional football federations, and invitees.
During the congress, Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Min Thein Zan and FIFA President Gianni Infantino delivered video messages, while MFF President U Zaw Zaw gave an opening speech. As part of the event, U Zaw Zaw presented the 2024 MFF Service Award to U Ba Yi to recognize decades of his contributions to Myanmar football.
MFF Vice-President U Pyae Phyo Tayza presented the financial reports, including details of revenue and expenditures, followed by an external audit report by U Wan Tin. The congress included a review of the 2023 financial year, with voting sessions and approval of proposed reports, led by MFF General Secretary U Tun Tun Aung. — Ko Nyi Lay/KZL
