THE Mongshu Township De­partment of Rural Development, under the Ministry of Coopera­tives and Rural Development, allocated Mya Sein Yaung (Em­erald Green) Village Project revolving funds to residents in Wanping Village, Mongsan Vil­lage-tract, Mongshu District in southern Shan State yesterday. The initiative aims to help ru­ral people expand systematic agricultural businesses and implement village development projects using the generated interest.

 

During the event, Daw Myint Thida Han, Head of the Mongshu Township Rural Devel­opment Department explained the objectives of the revolving fund. Following this, the project officer discussed the interest rates, repayment periods, and rules that must be followed by the beneficiaries. A total of K20.2 million was then officially handed over to the village project com­mittee members.

 

Under the supervision of the Township Head and staff, the village committee members further disbursed the funds to 21 local members who will en­gage in agricultural activities. This marks the third round of fund distribution for Wanping Village, providing low-interest loans directly into the hands of the villagers to support their livelihoods. — Cho Than Nyunt (Rural)
