VICE-PRESIDENT U Nyo Saw, who chairs the Micro, Small and Medi­um Enterprise Develop­ment Work Committee, outlined the need to im­plement the guidance given by the President at the ceremony to mark the World MSME Day at the Work Committee meeting 1/2026 at the Ministry of Industry and MSME Development in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.

 

He also emphasized the efforts to boost pro­duction of cotton, bam­boo, rubber and coffee products, considering raw materials, technol­ogy, capital and skilled labour for the produc­tion of quality marketa­ble products, to increase the quality and quantity of agricultural products, and exhibit further new items of MSME products from regions and states at the shows.

 

The Vice-President urged all to expand ag­ricultural activities in regions and states, grow oil crops in regions and states to ensure oil se­curity, use domestic raw materials in production activities in implement­ing the One Region-One Product scheme, man­age the supply of water and electricity, provide infrastructure and apply AI technology to operate MSME businesses to se­cure the Quick Win.

 

Work Committee Secretary Deputy Min­ister Dr Aung Zeya and the MSME Agency Chair briefed the meet­ing participants on the accomplishments of the decisions made at the Work Committee 1/2025 meeting.

 

Vice-Chair Union Minister Dr Charlie Than reported on the work pro­cedures of the work com­mittee under the State policies.

 

The meeting partic­ipants discussed efforts to develop the trading and service chain and beef up the bamboo, cot­ton, rubber and coffee industries.

 

The meeting ended with remarks given by the Vice-President.
