THE Myanmar Sepak Takraw League will see a total of 16 men’s and women’s clubs competing, according to the Myanmar Sepak Takraw Federation.
A total of 10 men’s teams will take part: San Nyunt Club (Mandalay), USL (Taungoo, Bago Region), Mon State, Youth Camp (Nay Pyi Taw), Ayeyawady, Dway Mae Naw (Yangon), CK Club (Hlegu), Bayintnaung Club (Dala), Shwe Kyun Thar Club (Thakayta) and YRG Club.
In the women’s competition, six teams will compete: Mon State, YRG (Yangon), Ayeyawady, Youth Camp (Nay Pyi Taw), Gusto (Yangon) and A Dark Horse.
The competition will feature men’s Quadrant events, men’s Regu events and women’s Regu events.
The inaugural Myanmar Sepak Takraw League (MSL 2026) will be held from 14 March to 5 April at the Thuwunna Sepak Takraw Indoor Stadium in Yangon. Spectators will be admitted free of charge, and selected matches will be broadcast live on the SkyNet YouTube channel.
The tournament aims to promote the development of club teams in Myanmar’s sepak takraw scene and to encourage greater interest and participation among the younger generation of players. — ASH/KZL
