THE Myanmar Red Cross Society and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) visited Mandalay and Sagaing regions on 29 June to monitor earthquake rehabilitation efforts, according to the Myanmar Red Cross Society.
The delegation visited temporary shelters built by the Myanmar Red Cross Society in Balelba Village, TadaU Township, Mandalay Region, and met families who had received cash assistance to repair homes damaged by the earthquake.
They also met Red Cross staff and volunteers from district and township branches at the Mandalay Earthquake Response and Rehabilitation Office (Sagaing Branch) in Sagaing to discuss ongoing earthquake rehabilitation efforts. — ASH/MKKS
