UNION Minister for Science and Technology Dr Myo Thein Kyaw, who is currently in Russia, participated in the plenary inter­national session of Digitalization of Industrial Russia 2026 titled “Digital Industry Map: Roles and Responsibilities on a Global Scale” on the evening of 19 May.

 

Along with the Union min­ister, Vice-President of Zimba­bwe Mr Constantino Chiwenga, Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Information and Communica­tion of Serbia Mr Lazar Pavlovic, and Secretary of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology of India Mr Krishnan Saranyan also took part in the discussion.

 

Yesterday morning, the Un­ion minister met with Mr Alex­ander Shoitov, Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Com­munications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation, and dis­cussed human resource devel­opment and future cooperation plans for signing agreements between Myanmar and Russia in artificial intelligence technology, information and communication technology, and cybersecurity.

 

At noon, the Union minis­ter also met with Governor of Nizhny Novgorod, Mr Gleb Ser­geevich Nikitin, and discussed the measures to transform Nizh­ny Novgorod city into Russia’s Quantum Valley, establishment of the world-class Neimark University aimed at producing industry-ready ICT human re­sources, Myanmar’s efforts in implementing the Yadanabon Cyber City project under the guidance of the State President and establishment of the Tech­nological University (Yadana­bon Cyber City) near the project area, sharing of experiences of Nizhny Novgorod and coopera­tion in human resource develop­ment. — MNA/KTZH
