ACCORDING to the Associa­tion of Edible Oil Merchants and Dealers, palm oil was sold to retired government em­ployees in Yangon Region at nine branches of the Myanma Economic Bank from 22 to 24 January.

 

It has also been an­nounced that palm oil will be made available to pensioners monthly, with each individual permitted to purchase up to three visses at K8,500 per viss.

 

With over 100,000 pension­ers in Yangon Region, it is esti­mated that between 80,000 and 100,000 visses of palm oil will be sold to them each month. — ASH/MKKS
