Kyaungkone, 15 June
With a view to greening and preserving the environment, a monsoon tree-planting ceremony was held in Natchaung village in Thitseintgone village-tract, Kyaungkone Township, Pathein District, Ayeyawady Region on 15 June.
The occasion was attended by members of Township Administration Department, Myanmar Police Force, Myanmar Fire Services Department, social organization and local residents.
Then they grew 1,000 saplings including teak and hardwood in the activity. In addition, the Township Forest Department has planted a total of 20,000 of different kinds of saplings and will distribute the saplings to the government offices, schools and villages free of charge, according the Township Forest Department.
