UNION Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn inspected the printing of school textbooks at the printing houses of the Department of Printing and Publishing in Insein Township, Yangon yesterday.
At the meeting hall of the GTC Printing House, the director-general of the department explained the printing processes of Aung San, GTC and Sarpay Beikman printing houses.
The Union minister said the offers to print are received from various ministries including the Ministry of Education, and so it needs to complete the printing processes in time. All should work together when facing the challenges. The staff also should need to work with full responsibility, accountability, understanding and trust at various levels. Moreover, they need to know the current situation of the country.
Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn then observed the three printing houses.
He addressed the coordination meeting on the 2024 Myanmar Film Academy Award Ceremony held at the meeting hall of the Bahan Township IPRD on the same evening.
At the meeting, he urged the attendees to participate in discussing the completed plans for Myanmar Film Academy Award Ceremony 2024 and ongoing work plans.
He appreciated the efforts of various organizations for the coming ceremony using the experiences gained from the previous Film Academy Award ceremony.
He instructed the attendees to make proper arrangements for transport, accommodation, health and food as elderly artistes were invited to the event. He called for proper coordination of subcommittees to complete the work in time for the ceremony.
After hearing the reports of the IPRD director-general, the chairman of Myanmar Motion Pictures Organizations and attendees, the Union minister concluded the meeting. — MNA/ KTZH
