THET San Anderson, who departed from Myanmar to Thailand on 22 October to represent Myanmar in the Miss Universe 2024 competition, which will be held in Mexico, was reported to have worn a Myanmar women’s dress from the 1980s at the airport.
The 73rd Miss Universe competition will take place on 16 November, featuring contestants from over 40 countries.
“Designer Ko Nyein Ko created this Myanmar outfit with a vintage 1980s style. I love the dress. I want to give my best performance and walk the runway with confidence. I’ve also practised Myanmar traditional dances. I will do my utmost to represent Myanmar in this international competition. Miss Universe has been my greatest dream since childhood, and I will give my all,” said Thet San Anderson, Miss Universe Myanmar 2024. — ASH/TKO
