MISS Universe Myanmar 2024, Thet San Anderson, announced that she was awarded an honorary certificate from Thailand’s Mahidol University on 27 October. She received this recognition after participating in the Crafting Digital Identity: Personal Branding & Social Media Presence seminar, which was part of a community development initiative at the university.

The seminar featured presentations from Dr Randell Shannon of Mahidol University, digital marketing specialist Mr Gun Chawapol, and Myanmar student Thukha Khaung Mon Soe, an Influencer Marketing Executive at Happio Media Thailand. They discussed social media marketing in the beauty industry and marketing strategies for beauty pageants in Myanmar. The event was attended by Master’s students from Mahidol University, providing valuable insights into leveraging social media for branding and identity.

Miss Thet San Anderson is now en route to Mexico to compete in the 73rd Miss Universe pageant, set to commence on 16 November. She expressed her pride in representing Myanmar in this international competition, where contestants from over 40 countries will participate. — ASH/TMT
