MFF appoints Daw Thet Thet Win as Myanmar women’s team head coach

The Myanmar Football Feder­ation has appointed Daw Thet Thet Win as the head coach of the Myanmar women’s national team on a two-year contract.

 

The former head coach of the Myanmar national women’s team, U Tin Myint Aung, part­ed ways after the 31st Viet Nam SEA Games held in May 2022.

 

After that, no head coach was appointed, and only now a new head coach has been ap­pointed.

 

The Myanmar national women’s team won third place in the 2022 ASEAN Women’s Championship held in July 2022, and she was appointed as the permanent head coach due to her brilliant performance in the competition.

 

Daw Thet Thet Win became the first female head coach ap­pointed in the history of the My­anmar national women’s team.

 

Myanmar national women’s team started training in Decem­ber for international competi­tions to be held in 2023, and 35 preliminary players have been selected.

 

The women’s squad will compete in the 32nd Cambodia SEA Games, Paris Olympic Asian Zone Qualifiers, ASEAN Women’s Championship and other international competi­tions this year. — Ko Nyi Lay/ KZL
