With an aim of boosting the income of local people and their socio-economic status, the Township DRD dispensed loans for implementation of emerald green projects to members of village emerald green project committee in Haiktaung Village in Namatu Township, Kyaukme District in Shan State(North) on 26 May.
The disbursement of loans is the first of its kind in the village. Under this loan projects, altogether 93 people - 57 people in agriculture business, 28 in livestock breeding business and eight in trading business received a total of Ks. 52.7 million, according to an official from the Township Department of Rural Development.—Phyo Kyaw(Pontaungmye)
