Local authority seized a large haul of narcotic drugs in Namhkham Township in Shan state (North) on 21 June, according to the Myanmar Police Force.
Acting on a tip-off, the combined team of an anti-narcotics task force made a seizure during their operation in Ward-1 in the Town of Namhkham, Shan state (North) on 21 June at about 8:00 am, confiscating heroin weighing 5.94 kilos and over 200000 stimulants tablets worth Ks. 300 million from a vehicle driving from the town of Kutkai to the town of Namhkham in Shan state (North).
The suspect was charged under the country's drugs law, and further investigations were underway.—MNA
