A ceremony to present more than K 60 million of compensation for 40.45 acres of farmland to farmers who lost their farmland in a project to construct Kyankin-Pakokku Railroad was held at Pakokku Township General Administration Department this morning.
First, MP U Mya Min Swe of Amyotha Hluttaw, Chairman of Township Farmland Management Committee U Myint gave opening remarks and an official from the Myanma Railways clarified the purpose of the giving compensation.
A total of 58 farmers in Nyaunghla, Myitkhae, Kywetae villages in the township were given K 60,675,000 of compensation, according to District Information and Public Relations Department.
