The final match of an inter-district U-25 women’s football tournament was held in conjunction with a prize awarding event at People’s sports ground in Monywa, Sagaing Region yesterday evening.
In the final game, the team representing Kalay District beat the squad representing Katha District 4-2 to win the champion trophy. Sagaing Region Minister for Social Affairs Dr. Zaw Win, officials from the Sports and Physical Education Department and departmental heads presented individual awards, cash and champion trophy to the players and prize winning teams.
The football contest run until 23 November with tem participating teams representing Monywa, Sagaing, Shwebo, Yinmarbin, Katha, Kalay, Tamu, Mawlaik, Kanbalu and Khamti Districts.—Win Oo (Zeyar Taing)
