The final match of the 2024 Myanmar Women's League season was held on 9 November at the Thuwunna Youth Training Centre, where ISPE FC and Yangon United ended in a goalless draw.
In this season finale, the newly crowned champions ISPE FC met second-place Yangon United, concluding their encounter with a scoreless draw. ISPE FC, undefeated throughout the season, achieved victory in the Myanmar Women's League for the third time in a league organized under the three-round system.
Despite the final standings already set, both teams fielded their core players and maintained an aggressive approach from the outset. Yangon United, which had lost in the first two rounds, responded strongly in this third encounter, earning a draw.
Following the match, an award ceremony honoured the top achievers. Ayeyawady forward San Thaw Thaw and ISPE striker Lin Myint Mo were jointly awarded the Golden Boot, each scoring 19 goals and receiving K500,000 and a trophy. Third-place Ayeyawady received K10 million, runner-up Yangon United received K15 million, and champions ISPE FC received K20 million, the championship trophy, and a special golden trophy for remaining undefeated.
At the end of the season, ISPE FC secured the title with 48 points, while Yangon United placed second with 40 points, and Ayeyawady took third with 27 points. — Ko Nyi Lay/KZL
