Irrawaddy Green Towers donates electric generator, cash to medical research department

Irrawaddy Green Towers Ltd donated a 200 KVA electric generator, some equipment, and K1.5 million to the Department of Medical Research, under the Ministry of Health and Sports, on 9 June. The generator is reportedly worth K40,835,400 while the K1.5 million is intended to honour the health officials of the National COVID-19 Call Centre and the Laboratory Team by covering their food and general expenses.

The donating company’s CEO Mr David Venn explained the reason for the donation at the ceremony held at the medical research department’s head office in Dagon Township, Yangon, yesterday. He then handed over the donations to the department’s director-general, Prof Dr Zaw Than Tun, who gave certificates of honour in return.—Min Thit (Translated by Zaw Htet Oo)
