An invitational men’s open football tourney kicked off at the sports ground in Narmaw Village, Bamouk Township in Sagaing Region yesterday.
Among the spectators were Chairman of the township management committee Township Administrator U Aye Min, Regional Lawmaker U Win Shwe, officials and staff from the Ministry of Health and Sports, football fans, residents and athletes.
A total of 14 participating teams are taking part in the competition that is being held on a round robin format and runs from 8 to 23 February.—Lu Aung (Katha)
