Hlaingbwe, 22 October
An inter-ward/village U-21 men’s football contest was opened at Zwe Mahn sports ground in Hlaingbwe Township, Kayin State this morning.
The competition is organized by the township sports and physical education committee with the aim of turning out outstanding footballers. Next, Kayin State Minister for Immigration and Human Resource Development U Min Ko Khaing made an opening speech and presented sports gear to Chairman of the township sports and physical education committee Township Administrator U Min Thein.
A total of 17 teams are taking part in the contest and outstanding players will be selected from the event to participate in the chief minister’s cup representing Hlaingbwe Township.
