The inter-ward/village men’s open football tourney kicked off at the Myoma sports ground in Htigyaing, Sagaing Region on 1 October.
The competition is organized by the township sports and physical education committee. Firstly, speeches were delivered by the Pyithu Hluttaw Representative U Maung Maung and Chairman of the township sports and physical education committee U Ba Win. Next, they cordially greeted the athletes from participating teams.
A total of 23 are drawn into five groups and the event will be held in a round robin format. In the opening match, the team representing Kanni Village beat the squad representing Mya Taung Village 1-0.
