The Department of Public Health under the Ministry of Health and Sports will launch the first nationwide vaccination campaign in September 2020 to prevent women from cervical cancer and human papillomavirus (HPV).
The vaccination campaign will target girls between 9 and 10 years old in the country. The DPH also will inject 281 girls between 9 and 10 years from Natmauk, Magway Region Town with HPV immunization against cervical cancer.
The mass vaccination campaign would be carried out in Natmauk Township commencing September this year.
