THE IFRC Asia-Pacific Regional Director and his team visited the Myanmar Red Cross Society’s humanitarian programmes in Sittway, Rakhine State, the soci­ety said.

The delegation met Red Cross volun­teers and staff, visited a free mobile clinic pro­viding primary health­care at the Sayamagyi Camp, observed cash assistance for dis­placed people living in temporary shelters, and attended the open­ing of a children’s play centre.

The delegation in­cluded IFRC Asia-Pa­cific Regional Director Mr Alexander James Mathieu, IFRC Myan­mar Representative Ms Nadia Khoury, My­anmar Red Cross Soci­ety Executive Director U Kyaw Moe Kyi, and other officials. — ASH/ MKKS
